Chinese New Year 2008 !!!
Chinese New Year came and went in just a blink of the eye !!
I had wanted to do all my tags during CNY but as usual, got carried away doing other stuffs and visiting and having friends over, I didn’t even get close to finishing one.
I do have some pictures though, if that is some consolation to myself. Ha Ha.
These are taken during the eve of CNY, 29th night, as we call the eve.
Prayers to the ancestors.
The offerings.
I don’t know if I could come up with that kind of spread when come my turn to do this, and if hubby insist on me carrying on this traditional spread.
Incense for the ancestors.
My MIL love preparing this dish. Its some kind of sweet and sour casserole which i have sampled before in a few Chinese restaurants in Chinatown in England and one of two Chinese restaurants in Australia in my short holiday there. But I didnt know we have this dish, and homemade too, in Malaysia till I married my hubby.
I cant remember what she calls this, but my husband loves this. Cos MIL only prepares this during festivals. I have came to love it too as the years gone by. I used to loath it, though, when I first married hubby. It must be some kind of acquired taste. Ha ha !
Hokay… almost time for us to leave my husband’s hometown. Gotta pack !!
Will put up more pics of the Ti Kung Prayers held Thursday night when I get back to KL.
And hello, Black Monday on the 18th! And its a full day trial in court on the 18th too….no less…sigh…
Have a safe journey back, everyone !!
